The vision of the Miznon is based on haute cuisine food, to take the taste of each city and translate it into pita. We take the energy, desires, limitations, beauty and food and express it all in one pita.
In 1989 Shani opened his first restaurant “Oceanus” in his hometown of Jerusalem. There he developed a unique culinary language based on regional Mediterranean products.
Since opening ‘HaSalon’ restaurant in Tel Aviv in 2008, Shani is today the inspiration and leading chef of about 50 successful restaurants in the world. He is considered one of the leading figures in the Israeli food scene, starred in the TV series ‘Food for Thought’ and has been a judge in the successful food show for the past ten seasons, ‘Master Chef’ Israel.
In 2011, he opened his first overseas restaurant, ‘Miznon’, in Paris. Today Shani’s restaurant company has locations all over the world in places such as Tel Aviv, Paris, New York, Melbourne, Dubai, Ibiza, Vienna, Singapore, Miami, Boston and Vegas.
